Principal’s Welcome

The staff and I would like to offer you a very warm welcome to our new website. I hope that this website will help you to learn more about our school, its history, achievements and what it might have to offer you as a student, a parent or a prospective member of staff.

It is our claim as a school that we provide children with an excellent education in a caring and enriching environment. People familiar with the school would point to its inclusive, community ethos and its happy working atmosphere as its chief characteristics. We are building on the successes of our long-established Primary School, and as we develop our Secondary School and new site, the school stands at the threshold of an exciting new phase of development. With the support of our Board of Governors we strive to improve our provision continually.

A supportive and collaborative partnership with parents is an essential feature of the school. This includes regular and efficient communication between parents and teachers. Parents are welcomed to the school for events such as Arts Evenings, Sports Days, Swimming Galas and Assemblies and more informal events such as the School Fayre and the International Picnic. But parents are also encouraged to contact the teachers or myself with questions regarding school policy or the progress of their children. Opportunities to work in support of the school exist through the very active and effective Parent Support Group.

A website can only give you a glimpse of our school. To experience the true atmosphere of the school, prospective parents, teachers and students are encouraged to visit us during term time and to meet the staff and children.
