We seek teachers who are capable of delivering inspiring and imaginative lessons;
Teachers will come to SES with outstanding subject and educational knowledge, and with a passion to impart what they know;
Relationships and rapport with our students must be outstanding – teachers will be supportive of all children regardless of their needs;
An SES teacher will be positive, dedicated and enthusiastic;
A collaborative and collegiate mind-set with colleagues is fundamental in all we do;
Excellent and pro-active communication skills are a prerequisite;
Having high expectations of themselves, SES staff will also have the highest expectations for their students;
Our teachers will understand the value and importance for our children of an international education – they will believe our international context advantages students, and staff will believe our diversity is a strength.
The vast majority of our leadership appointments are internal. Our appointees will be interested in their own career development, and should expect to leave SES with a considerably enhanced CV - they will have improved themselves as teachers and as potential managers or school leaders.
SES provides potential appointees with well-behaved, polite and curious children who have supportive parents who believe in education; as such our teachers are provided with an ideal teaching context. Consequently we expect staff to perform to a high level – we have few excuses for not delivering outstanding lessons as the norm.
