SAFER RECRUITMENT

SES is an equal opportunity employer and as such treats all job applicants and staff with equal respect, free from unjustifiable discrimination. SES is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its students. A UK ICPC or equivalent police check is a prerequisite for all appointments. SES follows a ‘Safer Recruitment’ Policy, in the interests of safeguarding children at the school.

Applicants will be required to present police / background checks, whether recruited from the UK or internationally. References will be collected in writing, and should include the current employer. Emails for references should be a work email rather than a personal address; school will make follow-up calls to verify the written reference.

Non-disclosure of information which might be relevant to an application for a teaching position will be regarded as grounds for discontinuing a contract.

Note: Emailed CVs and ad hoc vacancy enquiries will not be accepted.

Everyone at SES, teachers and staff alike, are incredibly friendly and supportive. There is a constant sense of positivity and a drive towards excellence, which makes coming to work a pleasure. The students are well-behaved and the parent community enthusiastic, which makes being part of their educational journey incredibly rewarding.
Sana El Rifae

Director of Marketing, Admissions and Alumni

We are a 3-18 school designed around a 3 form entry intake with small classes and a wonderful community feel. Our campus is currently arranged around 5 main buildings amongst beautiful surroundings with extensive space and greenery.

Classes are small and the facilities are of a high quality. We continue to refurbish and renew on an ongoing basis and are determined that we keep pace with up to date pedagogy. We are an Apple school in terms of staff and student devices and use various digital platforms for delivery - google classroom, tapestry, AI applications etc.

Our ‘family feel’, very well behaved students and supportive parents as well as a competitive salary and benefits structure supports well-being both at work and beyond.

Both academic and administrative staff should be positive about education for children and inspire and enthuse in equal measure. We will support all staff with appropriate and regular CPD opportunities but expect high standards in return. Alongside the excellent quality of life here in the UAE, Sharjah English School staff tend to stay for many years - it is a difficult place to leave behind.

Once appointed to a position at our school academic staff will be given access to a website page with much more information.
