Admissions Information
Sharjah English School is a British Curriculum, non-selective, not-for-profit school, established in 1974. We welcome students from the age of 3 in FS1 to Year 13.
Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths and the many different cultures that make up our community makes SES such a special school. Our teachers are predominantly from the UK and British educated.
We know how important it is for you as parents to find the right school for your children and we are here to help make the application process as simple and straightforward as possible.
Admissions are open to applications throughout the year. Most new children will join at the end of August for Term 1, January, for Term 2 or April, for Term 3. However there are of course other times when it may be appropriate for a child to start school depending on family circumstances. Please apply at any time and we will be in touch.
Acceptance will be determined based on assessment results and availability. We do have a maximum number of students per class, so if no spaces are available, you may be placed on a waiting list. We do have some spaces that may open up throughout the year and those on a wait list will be notified.
Our admissions team has a wealth of experience in processing applications from many different countries from around the world; we welcome the opportunity to assist you throughout the admissions process.
Please feel free to book a tour to visit our school in person. We have a large, beautiful campus, with lots of green, open spaces and excellent facilities that promote a broad and balanced curriculum. These include all curriculum subjects with extensive provision for Sport, Music, Art and Drama as well as a specialised Foundation department, 6th form areas and Technology and Science laboratories.
